Artist statement

            In this semester we did so  many art work. Such as the paper mache, dream catcher, print making. The dream catcher is something hanging in the window. The paper  mache is a decoration. The dream catcher is made by weaving , help the children catch bad dream and  native peoples of Canada. 

           The paper mache is made  by newspaper, glue, acrylic paint and balloon. A spiderman is made from small to large. The dream catcher we use yarn,  metal ring, beads ,feathers and thread. This two art work I never done before. To made that it was the hard thing for me, but when I am making that it's not very hard. When I making this, my teacher help me a lot like teach us how to start and  how to do it.  I want to made this two art work in very long time ago. Finally, I can made in art class. My art teacher inspired my artwork, because she is teach us about this. The dream catcher is work by personal issue, the paper mache is work in social issue. The dream catcher I am try to show "Retro" this kind of style, so I  choose wine red and black. The Spiderman we are try to show is a mini cute spiderman.
            My goals is want everyone can get my feeling when I am doing this art work. Also,I want everyone can know why I am doing this. My work help me to reach my goals, because My friend understanding why I am doing this. I learn lots of things in this semester. When I creating the art work, I learn how to draw how to make thing by hand. It's wasn't my imaged. At the beginning I don't like to doing art, but now I like it. If I was do it again, I  will use more intensions. I would like to do more better on my art work.

Butterfly in the grass; Print on paper; 23 Diameter X 31 cm H; 2017

This was the same art work with the Butterfly. This color is more soft. I like this better. I created this by Ink on Paper, use rollers and carving tools to make that. This type of making was done in ancient times around the world and still today. It was difficult to make the color even. If the color is not even it will make the picture not clean. This was make by styleform. I would like to try another color and make this color even next time.

Paper mache; newspaper, glue, Acrylic paint, balloon; 27 cm H X 20 Diameter; 2017
 

This type of paper mache is very interest, and  this was the first paper mache I have ever made. I created it by blew the balloon first and put the newspaper with the glue when it dry burst the balloon. So that we made the shape of the circle. When the first layer dry we put another layer. Do this step again and again. when everything dry, we start to put color on it. The hand and the feet is make by the card board. When we make this  we are so difficult to drew the line in the spiderman. I know some art work about this type. The outlook is very good.

Body figure; 43 cm x 28 cm ; 2017

This was the simple drawing. I create it by drawing different body figure, colored pencil on paper. I learn how to gradient, from dark to light. This was difficult to start is draw different shape of body shape. I would like to try more figure and more color next time.

Circle loom; 9.5 Diameter；2017

This was the first Circle loom I have ever made. I created it by weaving different yarns around card board. I learn how to weaving by the yarn. My circle loom was difficult to start is because need to cut a  circle card board and make the yarns in side across and across. I needed to do so many time weaving. To change color is cut the string and tied, and make a new color. I would like to made the bigger circle loom next time.

    This was the First Print making I have ever made. I created it by Ink on paper, use rollers and carving tools to make that. This type of making was done in ancient times around the world and still today. It's hard to make the Ink on paper and Engraved. Before, I was so confused about Ink on paper. The color is  hard to make it fit the styrofoam .

   Face

This is  portrait. I created it by Acrylic on paper. This drawing is about my friend. I learn how to draw the eyes. Need to draw three eyes first and erase the middle one, that can make the eyes equal. The nose and the mouth should be symmetry. It was difficult to drew the nose and make everything equal. I want to know how to draw the nose. I would like to try the eyes more closer.
